Pigs are the ultimate Foodies. They love food, will eat anything and are highly intelligent in their pursuit of it. Josephine and Napoleon are Jennifer’s pet pigs and they are smart.

When Napoleon buzzes himself on the electric fence as Jennifer brings food he knocks her over spilling the milk on the ground and wasting the meal. Horrors! Where else can they go for food?

The vegetable garden looks good. In they go. The carrots are crunchy, the cabbages smell great, they are in pig heaven. But the humans are not amused. Squirt, Prod and Whack. Get out of there pigs. Under the electric fence they skulk back to their pen. Lesson learnt but there is always tomorrow.

Good story well illustrated and much to discuss about pigs and about about electric fences. At the back of the story there is  the real story of the pet pigs that inspired this story, you even learn how to interpret a pigs grunting. Churchill’s famous quotation about pigs treating you as equals is there, and there is the story of the electric fence.
